Mamadou Diop is a highly accomplished Senegalese entrepreneur and risk management consultant. He was educated in Canada, and is fully bilingual in French and English. He has traveled extensively, and even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. He is a vice champion in judo under 60 kg, and is highly educated in IT and civil and mining engineering.
Mamadou worked for Google as a risk manager consultant from 2011 to 2013, and then founded his own company, BG Group, in 2012 with his father. Initially, the company provided Security Risk Management services to international clients such as ConocoPhillips, Cairn Energy, and Woodside. Over the next three years, Mamadou turned the company’s yearly turnover from 300,000 USD to 5,000,000 USD. His vision for BG Group is to be the leading service provider in the oil and gas industry in Senegal.
Mamadou is passionate about creating jobs and providing livelihoods for the people of Senegal. He takes great pride in his work and loves the challenge of creating and managing successful businesses.
